Since I read Julie and Julia I've been inspired to cook. Whether this helps or hurts the economy I'm not sure. First I made brownies, with Ghirardelli chocolate, lots of butter and sugar, bits of apricot. Result: texture all wrong, chocolate fix just great. Next Crab Norfolk topped with fresh tarragon, a summer salad that looked ready for the photo shoot. Lastly, spinach and feta with penne pasta. Missing ingredient, toasted sunnies, sent us on two separate walks to stores within a block of home. Alas no luck. I just wasn't about to bike or drive seven blocks to where I had just gotten the other items, right?
